For accountants & tax advisers

When a set of accounts leaks, know which copy it came from.

You send management accounts, payroll reports, tax computations and due-diligence packs to clients, their boards, their lenders and fellow advisers. ExactMark gives each recipient their own marked copy, so if a page is forwarded or photographed, Evidence Lab points to the most likely source instead of leaving your firm to guess.

Per-recipient copies

One upload, up to 100 named recipient copies, downloaded individually or as a ZIP.

Original PDFs preserved

Recipient copies keep the original content and text of the accounts you prepared.

Attribution or inconclusive

Evidence Lab returns the most likely source with a confidence score, or says honestly that it cannot.

EU hosted, encrypted

Hosted in Dublin with Supabase in Ireland; forensic data encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

The problem

Every set of accounts you issue has more readers than recipients.

Year-end accounts go to the client, then on to the bank, the board and the auditor. Payroll reports go to HR and the finance director. A due-diligence pack goes to the buyer, the buyer's advisers and their lenders. Each is a PDF that can be forwarded in seconds, a portal page that can be screenshotted, or a printout that can be photographed.

When a payroll summary reaches an employee, a margin analysis reaches a competitor, or a set of draft accounts reaches a journalist, the question lands on your firm: which copy? Without a way to tell one copy from another, every recipient is a suspect, none can be cleared, and the client relationship takes the damage.

  • A PDF forwarded on from the client's inbox
  • A screenshot taken from the client portal
  • A phone photo of a printed page at a board meeting
  • A page recompressed on its way through a messaging app

How it works

Three steps, built around the files you already produce.

  1. 1

Upload the finished file to Imprint

Accounts, a tax computation, a payroll report or a due-diligence pack, as PNG, JPG, WEBP or PDF. PDFs keep their original content and text.

  2. 2

Name each recipient and download their copy

Type names or upload a CSV of up to 100 recipients: the client, the lender, each board member, the co-adviser. Download each recipient-linked copy individually or all of them as a ZIP, then send them as you normally would.

  3. 3

If a page surfaces, ask Evidence Lab

Upload the leaked screenshot, image or PDF, or forward it to your Web App's private evidence email address. You get the most likely source with a confidence score and ranked candidates, or an inconclusive result, plus a downloadable branded PDF evidence report.

What you get

Built for a practice that shares figures every day.

Imprint

Recipient-linked copies

Upload once and issue a marked copy per recipient. CSV import handles batches of up to 100 for year-end runs.

Web Sessions

Protected client portal

One script tag on your portal. Covert by default, with visible and combined modes when you want the mark to be seen.

Evidence Lab

Upload or email the evidence

Cases keep workflow state, notes and the original asset, so an engagement partner can follow the investigation from start to finish.

Report

Branded PDF evidence report

A downloadable record of the attribution, the confidence score and the ranked candidates, ready for a client conversation.

Team

Roles and per-Web-App access

Owner, Admin, Developer, Analyst and Viewer roles, invitations, and per-Web-App access for each engagement team.

Hosting

EU hosting and encryption

Hosted in Dublin with Supabase in Ireland. Forensic data is encrypted at the application level with AES-256-GCM.

FAQ

Questions practices ask before their first batch.

Does ExactMark stop a client forwarding their accounts?

No. ExactMark is an attribution and deterrence tool, not DRM or screenshot prevention. Recipients can still forward, screenshot or photograph a copy. What changes is that when a page surfaces, Evidence Lab can tell you the most likely source, with a confidence score and ranked candidates, rather than leaving every recipient under suspicion.

Will clients see a mark on their accounts?

By default the spatial signal is covert and low-opacity, tiled redundantly across the page so it survives cropping. If you would rather recipients know the copy is marked, visible and combined modes are available.

What happens if Evidence Lab cannot make an attribution?

It tells you so. The result is either an attribution or an honest inconclusive result; ExactMark does not manufacture a suspect. For inconclusive evidence, Recovery+ offers an optional human-led investigation.

Do we have to put client names into ExactMark?

No. Recipient and viewer identifiers can be pseudonymised, so the mapping between a reference and a real client or director stays with your firm. The metadata written into each copy is signed and non-identifying, and the filename reference is opaque.

Which file types work, and where is our data held?

Imprint accepts PNG, JPG, WEBP and PDF, and Evidence Lab accepts leaked screenshots, images and PDFs. Hosting is in Dublin with Supabase in Ireland, forensic data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and only the evidence files you submit are ever received.
