For insurers & claims teams

When a claim photo leaves the file, know whose screen it left.

Damage photos, loss-adjuster reports, medical attachments and settlement offers pass between handlers, adjusters, brokers, repairers and solicitors. A screenshot takes seconds and travels further than the claim ever should. ExactMark marks each Web Session on your claims platform and each report copy you issue, so a leaked image traces back to its most likely source.

The problem

A claim file has a long supply chain, and every link has a screen.

A single motor or property claim passes through a handler, a loss adjuster, the broker, a repairer, a medical provider and, if it is contested, solicitors on both sides. Each sees the photos, the reserve and the offer on their own screen, or in a report you sent them. Any of them can screenshot a page, forward a PDF or photograph a monitor.

The damage arrives in familiar shapes: an incident photo posted publicly by someone who should never have had it; a settlement figure that reaches the claimant's representative before the offer is made; medical attachments landing with the wrong party. Each is a complaint, a regulatory question and a loss of trust, and the first thing anyone asks is where it came from.

  • Screenshots of a claim page, cropped to the photo or the figure
  • Forwarded PDFs of adjuster reports and settlement letters
  • Phone photos of a monitor in a shared office
  • Recompressed images that have been through a messaging app

How it works

Cover the platform and the paperwork in three steps.

  1. 01

    Protect the claims platform

Add one script tag, <script src="https://exactmark.com/script.js">, and call exactmark.identify(...) for the signed-in handler, adjuster or broker. Every protected claim page carries a session-specific signal. The SDK never captures or records the page.

  2. 02

Issue marked copies to outside parties

For adjuster reports, engineer's assessments and settlement letters that leave as files, upload the PDF or image to Imprint, name each party manually or by CSV for up to 100 recipients, and download a recipient-linked copy for each, individually or as a ZIP.

  3. 03

Resolve the leak in Evidence Lab

Upload the leaked screenshot, image or PDF, or forward it to the Web App's private evidence email address. You get the most likely source with ranked candidates, or an inconclusive result, and a downloadable branded PDF evidence report for the complaint file.

Capabilities

Everything a claims operation needs to answer "where did this come from?"

Web Sessions

Session-specific marks across the claims platform. Covert by default, with visible and combined modes for pages where a visible notice is appropriate.

Imprint

Recipient-linked copies of adjuster reports, assessments and settlement letters. PDFs keep their original content and text.

Evidence Lab

Upload or forward the leaked file. Each case holds its workflow state, notes, the original asset and the result.

Email evidence intake

Every Web App has a private evidence email address, so a handler can forward what they have been sent without leaving their inbox.

Team roles

Owner, Admin, Developer, Analyst and Viewer roles, with invitations and per-Web-App access for each claims line.

Lighthouse optional

Network and session intelligence for protected sessions: VPN, proxy or Tor indicators, provider, coarse location and changes from earlier sessions. The raw IP is never stored.

FAQ

Straight answers for claims and compliance leads.

Does ExactMark stop a handler taking a screenshot?

No. It is an attribution and deterrence tool, not DRM or screenshot prevention. Screenshots, forwards and photos of screens still happen; the difference is that when one surfaces, Evidence Lab can tell you the most likely source with ranked candidates instead of leaving the whole chain under suspicion.

Does the SDK record our claims pages?

No. The script renders a low-opacity, session-specific signal over the protected page and nothing more. It never captures or records the page, and the only files ExactMark ever receives are the evidence files your team chooses to submit.

Can we protect medical attachments without naming the viewer?

Yes. Viewer and recipient identifiers can be pseudonymised, so ExactMark holds a reference while the mapping to a real person stays inside your organisation. Recipient copies carry signed, non-identifying metadata and an opaque filename reference.

What if the result is inconclusive?

Evidence Lab says so plainly rather than guessing. You still keep the case, its notes and the original asset. For evidence that needs more than the detector can offer, Recovery+ provides an optional human-led investigation.
