For wealth managers and family offices

Every copy of a client statement, answerable to its recipient.

Statements, portfolio reviews, succession plans and trust documents go to principals, family members, trustees and external advisers. ExactMark gives each recipient a copy carrying a covert spatial signal, so if a page is photographed or a PDF forwarded and later surfaces with a journalist, a litigant or a fraudster, you can identify the most likely source quietly and with evidence.

The problem

A small circle is never as small as it looks.

The quarterly review goes to the principal, two adult children, the family's lawyer, an independent trustee and a co-adviser. A page is photographed on a kitchen table. A PDF is forwarded for information. Months later a statement figure appears in a divorce filing, a newspaper or a fraudster's convincing email.

The family asks the obvious question. A list of everyone who had the document is not an answer, and it is not a basis for the conversation that follows.

The answer

Discretion, with evidence when it matters.

Imprint produces a copy of each document for each recipient: identical in content and text, but carrying a covert spatial signal and signed, non-identifying metadata. Nothing changes in how the family receives or reads it.

If a copy surfaces, an authorised colleague uploads it to Evidence Lab, which returns the most likely source with a confidence score and ranked candidates, or an inconclusive result. Each case keeps the original asset, notes and a branded PDF evidence report suitable for counsel.

How it works

Prepared before sending. Resolved after the fact.

  1. 01

    Prepare recipient copies

Upload the statement, review or proposal as a PDF, PNG, JPG or WEBP. Name each recipient or import a CSV of up to 100, then download copies individually or as a ZIP. Each copy carries an opaque filename reference.

  2. 02

    Protect the reporting portal

Add one script tag to the client reporting portal and call exactmark.identify() for the signed-in principal, trustee or adviser. Each Web Session renders its own low-opacity signal. The SDK never captures or records the page.

  3. 03

    Resolve a surfaced document

Upload the photograph or PDF to Evidence Lab, or forward it to your Web App's private evidence email address. Review the ranked candidates, record notes on the case and export the PDF report.

Capabilities

Quiet by design. Thorough when called upon.

  • 01

    Recipient-linked statements and proposals

Imprint marks one PNG, JPG, WEBP or PDF for up to 100 recipients at a time. PDFs keep their original content and text; each copy adds the spatial signal and signed, non-identifying metadata.

  • 02

Client reporting portal, marked per session

Web Sessions renders a session-specific, redundant tiled signal over each protected page for each signed-in viewer. Covert by default, with visible and combined modes available.

  • 03

    Most likely source, or inconclusive

Evidence Lab normalises the file, searches across crop, continuous scale, small rotation, colour and compression, and correlates against candidate copies and sessions. Results are stated with a confidence score and ranked candidates.

  • 04

A branded PDF report for counsel or the family

Each case records workflow state and notes, retains the original asset and exports a downloadable branded PDF evidence report.

  • 05

    Pseudonymous recipients, EU hosting

Recipient identifiers can be pseudonymised, with the identity mapping kept inside the firm. Hosted in Dublin with Supabase in Ireland and application-level AES-256-GCM encryption of forensic data.

  • 06

    Roles, access and further investigation

Owner, Admin, Developer, Analyst and Viewer roles with per-Web-App access, so each family's portal is handled separately. Recovery+ offers human-led investigation when a result is inconclusive.

Questions

What relationship managers and trustees ask.

Will the client see anything on the statement?
Not by default. The mark is a low-opacity spatial signal tiled redundantly across the page, and PDFs keep their original content and text. A visible mode exists for firms that prefer recipients to know copies are traceable.
Does it prevent a document being photographed or forwarded?
No. ExactMark is an attribution and deterrence product, not DRM or screenshot prevention. It tells you which recipient's copy a surfaced document most likely came from, so the conversation starts from evidence.
Can we keep client names out of ExactMark?
Yes. Name recipients with a pseudonym or reference and keep the mapping in your own systems. Attribution results point to the identifier you supplied, never to a name ExactMark holds.
Where is the data held, and what does ExactMark receive?
Hosting is in Dublin with Supabase in Ireland, and forensic data is encrypted at the application level with AES-256-GCM. The only files ExactMark ever receives are the evidence files your team chooses to submit.
What if Evidence Lab is not certain?
You receive an inconclusive result rather than a weak attribution presented as fact. Recovery+ is available as an optional, human-led investigation for evidence that warrants it.
